It follows the adventures of Kit's Kite who, on one windy day, blew away from his owner. The Kite travels to many places on his windswept journey including a beach, a playground, a funfair, a forest, a city and a town and experiences through many types of weather conditions along the way. During the journey, the Kite encounters various smells, sights and sounds until it is reunited with its owner, Kit.
The illustrations feature all types of children and are very diverse both in ethnicity and in physical ability so every child can see themselves represented.Authored by best friends Lana and Niki, they have drawn on their backgrounds of working in special needs education (Lana is a PMLD, SLD and autism specialist) and in children's TV.
