The animals must escape to safety first and then seek the solution to global warming, the root of the problem, which old tortoise Mzee Kobe tells them about. Their king, Simba the lion, leads the animals wisely. This book helps young readers learn about climate change and how to care for the environment in a simple and exciting way.
The moral of the story is teamwork makes the dream work. We must all take good care of our planet. Zuri is the current Cabinet Secretary for Environment at Brookside Preparatory School in Nairobi. Her main interests include writing, drawing, reading, playing chess, coding and robotics.
