All Mac knew, she wanted to leave this town so badly. She wanted her own life, but ever since her mom passed she promised her dad that she would never leave his side. She did however, and has regretting it ever since she found out from a childhood friend he was sick. Why was he doing this to her? His only child. Why was he hiding that from her? She must find a way to help her father. Lonely, and scared, Mac doesn't know what she's supposed to do now. Risk leaving her new found beau, a fireman named Cory Daniels, or allow herself to go back to the life she hated. Set in the state of Texas, Mac starts to realize what was right all along when the handsome fireman decides to appear out of nowhere. Was he a sign of what's to come, or is it just temptation because of her longing for love for all these years? Whatever it may be was helping Mac forget about her troubles until the unthinkable happens! The life she once knew was gone forever. Now she'll have to choose which life is the best for her.
