Melissa in the Caribbean (Paperback)

Melissa and her family go to the Caribbean coast in northern Colombia to celebrate Father's birthday. Mother tells Melissa and Julie that a great surprise is waiting for them. - The birthday festivity begins with a trip to the airport, where the surprise is revealed. Afterwards the family celebrates with a dinner in a restaurant. Then they return home like ladies and gentlemen in a horse-drawn carriage. - On the way back from an excursion to Cartagena, Melissa witnesses a traffic accident in which her classmate Soreida is injured when she rescues a child. In the hospital, they bury their rivalry and become friends. - Finally, the family finds a church congregation whose lively services are typical of the South American Pentecostal congregations. Melissa attends the youth prayer session and is filled with the Holy Spirit the following night. - On an island, Melissa goes snorkeling and discovers the wonderful underwater world. During a stay at the beach, she and Julie thwart the escape of two robbers who have stolen the golden chain of a rich lady. The girls receive a generous reward and give the church a substantial contribution.
