Description
High school freshman, Riley, finds herself in a new world as she begins this school year after the loss of her mother in a tragic rodeo accident. Unsure where to turn or who to lean on, Riley is able to find comfort with her mother's horse where she has grand Ideas of becoming a rodeo star, just like her mother.
Travis, Riley's father, struggles to cope with the loss of his wife and the bills associated with running a ranch on one income household. After being laid off from work, he's forced to consider selling what he can to stay afloat, including his late wife's horse, and Riley's only connection to her mother.
If Riley's struggles weren't enough, Amber, the girl we love to hate, a high school senior, bully's and pushes Riley to her breaking point, and she is forced to make a decision... Tuck tail and run, or fight back.
With a little courage, and help from a new found friend at school, Riley decides to get back in the saddle and show that she's not to be taken lightly, and the gift of rodeo runs deep in her blood.
