Surviving the Earthquake: Hear My Story (Library Binding)

In 2018, the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia was rocked by a powerful earthquake, which devastated the island and its buildings, and killed thousands of people. Based on the experiences of many earthquake victims, this fictional story follows Viola and her family who fled to a safer part of the island, then returned to their village determined to stay and rebuild even though earthquakes are always a risk there. Interspersed with facts and case studies about what causes earthquakes, this narrative tells a story common to many people who have had to flee and rebuild their lives after losing their homes, possessions, and sometimes, loved ones.
