Description
On a bright sunny day, an angel gave the bird a very special task: to carry the precious marble to a certain whale couple. But it won't be easy to reach them, far away in the ocean. Will the bird be able to complete her mission? The Precious Marble was written in hopes to raise the self-esteem of and instill self-worth in adopted children around the world.
This book intends to highlight not necessarily the insurmountable joy that is brought onto a child at the time of their adoption but rather to highlight the happiness and bliss that are brought onto others throughout a child's life both as an orphan and as their adoptive parents' child.
For each character in this story, such as the bird, cloud, and others, that helps the marble ('child') reach the whale couple ('future adoptive parents'), a glimmering light appears on their body where they are touched by the marble to signify the lasting impact that children leave in the hearts of those involved throughout their lives as orphans.
Similarly, the whale couple that later 'adopts' the marble shines brightly as soon as they encounter the marble, illustrating the joy and happiness that a child brings to their adoptive parents. This book is not only meant to remind adoptive parents how precious of a gift their child is but to also help that same child be reminded of that themselves.
