The Campbell family are excited at the prospect of two years in Greece, all except 12 year old Cathy who refuses to go unless she can take her two precious Siamese cats. However, had she known what had been going on in Athens in the preceding months, she would have quickly changed her mind. Unscrupulous fur traders are killing cats for their fur. Added to this is a major robbery to which Cathy is a witness. In an attempt to save not only the cats, but themselves, Cathy, her brother John and friend Stella set off into the Greek countryside. By the time they have finished, they have covered a lot of ground and uncovered a lot of criminals.
