Description
A squirrel and a deer squabble over acorns until an owl (who is wise, of course!) helps each see the world through the other's eyes; she does this by (spoiler alert!) giving the squirrel a fake antler to wear for a while, and then impressing upon the deer how hard the squirrel works to gather nuts. This peace story shows empathy easing conflict. Ten illustrations. Ages 4-8.
